It is amazing how the enemy works. He uses small things and causes our attention to be diverted to them and we may inadvertently miss other small things along the way. We base some of our own conclusions off of the distracted and misleading “information” that the enemy causes to think is so real. We end up ALMOST missing some relationships, some tangible things and some valuable connections all because we didn’t have our lenses on life in the correct focus. These “small things” turn into big things as your mind replays them over and over again. So today, I challenge you to reevaluate the way you view some things. Make sure you are looking at them through the eyes of God.
1 Peter 5:8 reminds us to “Be of sober spirit, be on the alert Your adversary, the devil, prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour.”
In order to devour something, you have to get very close to it… don’t allow the enemy to get in arms reach of you. Remember you have the power to change your atmosphere. Darkness cannot dwell where light is. So, it is our job as believers to let our light so shine that the enemy cannot stand to be near us because he is blinded by the light that protrudes from you. It reminds me of when people would wear the clove of garlic around their necks in vampire movies because it repelled them. We have to not only hide the word of God in our hearts be we are to let our light so shine before men that they may see your good works and glorify the Father in Heaven. (Matt 5:16)
I challenge you to smile and shine bright today no matter what comes your way; because the Greater one lives inside you!
